Land Trust Letter 2015

Land Trust Letter 2015-16

Dear Parents & Students,

It is that time of year to discuss the progress we are making on our Land Trust goals. The School LAND Trust Programs, established by the legislature in 1999, distributes the “annual dividend” from the permanent State School Fund through school districts and charter school for all public schools in the state. Parents, staff and the school’s principal serve on the Community Councils. The Councils in each school prepare a plan to address the school’s greatest academic need. Local school boards approve the plans and funding is sent to each school with an approved plan before the school year begins.

The council for the 2015-16 includes the following members:

The goal for 2014-15 was for students to improve reading, math and writing skills by 2% as measured by the SAGE and DIBELS assessments, and to provide professional development to support these goals. We received $20,646 for the school and the funds were used to provide small group instruction in reading, math, and writing by paying for additional salaries and benefits for highly qualified paraprofessionals. If you have any questions regarding the Land Trust programs, please contact the school. Thanks so much for all you do to support your students at Club Heights Elementary!                                                             Sincerely,
